Take an internal flight from Kathmandu to Tibet, where you’ll be transferred to Tsedang to rest and acclimatise in preparation for your Tibetan adventure.
Embark on a sightseeing tour of Tsedang, where you’ll take in the incredible hilltop Yambulakhang Palace, the Tandruk Monastery and the ancient Samye Monastery, which is believed to be one of the first Buddhist monasteries in Tibet.
Enjoy a scenic drive to the town of Gyantse, stopping at the beautiful and sacred Yamadroke Lake en route. See the sights of Gyantse – including the Pholkor Monastery, the Kumbum Monastery dating back to the 16th century and the Gyantse Dzong fortress that overlooks the town – before embarking on a scenic drive to the city of Xigatse, taking in typical Tibetan countryside along the way.
Visit Xigatse’s incredible Tashi Lhunpo monastery with its cobbled lanes and huge gold Buddha statue before travelling to the city of Lhasa.
Embark on a two-day sightseeing tour of Lhasa, where you’ll see the magnificent 7th-century Potala Palace – the one-time winter palace of the Dalai Lama – and the Jokhang Temple Monastery, the bustling Barkhor Bazaar, and the Drepung and Sera university monasteries.

Important: Please allow time for travelling from Australia. International flights are not included in your package and must be purchased separately. It is your responsibility to make your own travel arrangements and ensure that you arrive in Kathmandu on your chosen tour date.
The package is valid for ONE PERSON aged 12 or older (based on twin share). If you are travelling with another person you must purchase TWO PACKAGES, otherwise an additional single traveller surcharge will apply. Single travellers will get their own room throughout the tour.
Single Traveller Sucharge: Guests travelling alone must pay a single traveller surcharge of AU$450 (approx. NZ$494) per person and will get their own room throughout the tour, payable directly to the tour company.
The maximum capacity on this tour is 16 people.

Can I change my check in date post purchase: Once you have purchased your package and received confirmation your dates cannot be changed without contacting the hotel directly. Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you’ll be transferred to Hotel Holy Himalaya. The orientation programme will begin at 5pm, followed by a welcome dinner with accompanying cultural entertainment.

Begin your day with a rejuvenating morning yoga class followed by breakfast. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of major cultural, historical and religious landmarks in Kathmandu before transferring to Nagarkot by private vehicle in time to admire the sun set over the Himalayas.

Watch the sun rise over the majestic Himalayan mountains before driving back to Kathmandu via the old city of Bhaktapur. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.
