Today, you’ll enjoy Lima’s centre. Start by discovering Peru’s pre-Columbian history with a visit to the Huaca Huallamarca archeological site in San Isidro, offering an insight into the city’s history before continuing to the Parque del Amor, or ‘Love Park’, dedicated to the world’s many romantics. Spend the afternoon exploring the many galleries of the Barranco district, known for its street art and culinary scene.
Tonight, enjoy an evening spent at La Huaca Pucllana. Feast on Peruvian dishes overlooking pre-Incan ruins that once served as a ceremonial centre for the region.

After breakfast, it’s time to transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, you will travel approximately 90 minutes north to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Enjoy lunch at Hacienda Huayoccari, an farming estate with views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Enjoy a buffet meal of traditional Peruvian food before continuing to your hotel, the five-star Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness. After checking in, you are free to spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

After breakfast, visit the Maras Salt Ponds and the Moray’s circular terraces. In Moray, you’ll learn how the Incas originally built terraces in limestone sinks to manage crop production.
Enjoy lunch at Las Manos, which uses local produce from the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Return to the hotel and enjoy the evening at your leisure.

After breakfast, visit Emperor Pachacuti’s stone fortress-temple, Ollantaytambo. Ollantaytambo fortress is notable for being one of the rare locations where the invading Spanish lost a major battle against the Incas. Take lunch at El Chuncho, a restaurant showcasing the flavours of the area.
Next, board the Vistadome Observatory Train to Aguas Calientes before reaching Machu Picchu. Check in to your accommodation in town and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.

Wake up early and meet your group’s private guide as you move through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the Urubamba River. Arrive at Macchu Picchu and enjoy a guided tour, starting at the complex’s upper terrace.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before travelling by train and private transfer to Cusco. Check in to your accommodation and enjoy the evening at your leisure.

After breakfast, explore four of Cusco’s ruins, including Sacsayhuaman and Coricancha. Finish up at San Pedro Market, a collection of stalls and artisans offering everything from alpaca wool jumpers to street food and local fruits.
Tonight’s farewell dinner is at Calle del Medio, a local restaurant showcasing views of the city’s main square.
Your Peru tour ends after breakfast and checkout is at 10am. Wave goodbye to your fellow travellers and meet your transfer who will take you to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ) for your flight home.

Pre- and post-tour accommodation can be booked to extend your stay before or after your tour by contacting our Tours Concierge Team at tours@luxuryescapes.com.
Luxury Escapes uses a range of accommodation partners. For pre- and post-tour accommodation options where we can offer the same hotel as the start and end of your tour, your pre- and post-tour accommodation will be booked independent of your tour. If the hotel for your tour changes, this will be independent of your pre- or post-tour accommodation booking. In this instance, change fees may apply on your pre- or post-tour accommodation. If you choose to change, change fees can be found in your ‘My Escapes’.
For pre- and post-tour accommodation bookings, you may be required to check out of your room and check in again on the first or last day of your tour. You will need to confirm these details directly with the hotel.

Return flights are not included in your package and must be purchased separately. ** If your chosen tour departure date is guaranteed at the time of booking, you may be able to purchase flights immediately. If your tour departure date is not yet guaranteed (still pending minimum numbers), flights should not be booked until you receive an update on the status of your tour.**
